Has it really been that long since I last posted? I guess it makes sense. This past month has been CRAZY!!! Work for both of us has been long and hard, and I've been sick a lot. And no, I am not pregnant. For some reason that is always the first conclusion everyone jumps to when they hear I'm not feeling well. And on top of everything else, my poor computer broke and we have no air conditioning in our apartment so we die of heat whenever we are home. Anyway, Jon took the GRE and was pretty happy with his score. He is now finishing up his long and tedious grad school applications in his spare time.
We are both looking forward to our mini vacation next weekend in Logan. One of my former roommates is getting married and she asked me to take her wedding photos. I'm so excited! And Jon and I are grateful for any opportunity to get away. We have both been under a lot of stress lately with work and callings and trying to find time to spend with one another and get other daily chores done. A couple weeks ago we had one evening when we were both off so we packed up the fishing gear and headed to Salem pond where we caught 3 fish! We were quite pleased with our fishing success, and felt that it made up for not having caught any fish at Fish Lake.
On June 30th we celebrated our 6th month anniversity! Jon picked me up from work and we went straight to The Olive Garden, which was delicious! Then Jon took me to the mall and said I could buy any dress I wanted to at my favorite store (I know, he spoils me). After that we drove up to bridal veil falls and watched Tangled on our portable dvd player. It was nice just to be able to spend the evening together.
For the 4th of July Jon had to work, but afterwards we went to my parents house and grilled some nice juicy steaks and had a few fireworks (just little ones--no one wanted to start yet another Utah wildfire this summer).
And last but not least, our garden has grown even more!!
Isn't it wonderful? The corn is getting so tall and the pumpkins, cantaloupe, and cucumber plants are really spreading out their vines. We love it!

Love the garden. Be sure to save the corn stalks for fall decorations!
