Valentines Day 2014

Okay, it's time to play catch-up on this blog! February seemed like it was so busy and at the same time nothing happened! How is that possible? I have no idea. But if I had to guess, it would probably be because we were constantly on the go with school and work (Jon is always either at work, school, or doing homework-nonstop! and my work keeps having competitions so we are way busier that usual and by the time I get home I am ready for bed!) but aside from that whenever we had free time we mostly were too tired to do anything but sit and watch a movie at home. But anyway, onto the good stuff:

For Valentines Day this year, I did my own version of "14 Days of Valentines."  Every night after Jon fell asleep I would leave a little note or treat for him to see in the morning. I think he really liked it.

I also made peanut butter cookies with chocolate hearts. I tried out this new recipe that is supposed to make super soft cookies instead of the kind that turn hard after a few hours. They turned out great and everyone we shared them with loved them!

That night we went to Applebee's for dinner, and then Jon took me to the lake and we went on a nice little walk on the trail nearby. It was nice and relaxing. Just what we needed!

We took the night off from working at the temple (which turned out to be a good decision because apparently they were not busy at all that night and sent most of the workers home early anyway) and did some grocery shopping before going home and watching some Netflix. I love my husband so much and I am so grateful for all the hard work he does for us. He always has our future in mind and I am so grateful I get to be with him for eternity!
