Mother's Day 2015

I know I'm a little late posting this (as is becoming the usual now), but I really had a great Mother's Day this year! I count this year as my first, real, official Mother's Day since it is the first year that I have a baby (not in my belly). Jon was so sweet and stayed up late writing on tons of post its. They all had little messages from either him or Crew, saying why they were grateful for me. It was so thoughtful and sweet!

He also gave me a sweet card and some gummy bears. Yum!

We went to Sacrament meeting at my parent's ward that morning. It was a surprise for my mom and boy was it a success! When she saw all of us she started crying. Everyone wanted to hold Crew so they took turns handing him back and forth so Jon and I didn't even see him until Sacrament meeting was almost over! Ha ha. It was so cute to see Britian interacting with him. He is such a sweetie! He just couldn't stop looking and smiling at him. I tried to sneak a picture, but Britian turned at the last second so this is the best I got.

That night we had a great Skype session with Jon's Mom (It really stinks that they live so far away. Crew hates his car seat and that half hour drive makes him crankier than Scrooge on his worst day). Then we went over to my parents house for some pie.

Being a Mommy is without a doubt the best thing I have ever been blessed to do! It can be tiring sometimes, but I love it! Every day I love my little Crew Bear more and more I think my heart will just burst! I loooooove being able to stay at home and spend all day with him. I am so grateful to my sweet, wonderful husband for working so hard so that I can stay at home to raise our family. I know it can't always be easy, especially while trying to pay for school on top of everything else, but that constant support of me staying at home is so incredibly important to me. I know it's not for all families, but Jon and I both feel strongly that it is right for ours. I feel so accomplished every day by taking care of Crew and yet at the same time I want to try harder and do more because there is still so much he has to learn and know! My job is never done and right now I don't mind that one bit. He really is my little buddy. I feel like we are best friends, and he can't even talk yet! I love it when Jon is holding him, and I walk into the room and he gets this big smile on his face and his legs start kicking up a storm. I can't help but to offer to hold him and when he reaches back to me it just makes me feel so special and so blessed to be his Mommy! I want to work hard every day to strive to deserve this amazing calling of Motherhood that my Heavenly Father has given me.
