This year for Father's day, Crew and I spent the whole day soaking up the time we got to spend with his Daddy. We really miss having him around when he works overtime so much during the week to save for school, but we sure love it when he is home! We went out to dinner at Sizzler the day before, and on Sunday, Fathers day, we Skyped with Jon's dad in Riverton and then went over to my parents house and had some dessert with my family and celebrated my dad's birthday and fathers day (since they are so close).
Jon only has one younger sibling, so he never really had an opportunity to take care of little kids growing up, like I did. Becoming a Dad for the first time was scary for him, but it was definitely something he wanted very badly! He was so excited when I told him I was pregnant with Crew! He has really come a long way since Crew was born, too. It's weird to think that the same man who was almost afraid to hold a newborn can now change his diaper like a pro, and I can let him babysit for hours without a worry! Crew LOOOVES his Daddy so much! Whenever Jon comes home, I watch for him out the window and when I see him coming, I say, "Where's Daddy?" and Crew immediately starts looking all around until he spots him! And when he does, his legs start kicking and his arms start flailing and he starts squealing with joy! It makes my heart almost burst so see how their relationship has grown. They are the bestest of buds! Jon is such a good Dad already, and I am so glad I picked him!
