The Lighting of the Riverwoods

Amidst all the health issues and extra hours at work and full time schooling, we decided to take a little break and go out on a little family activity. Sometimes its nice when you are overly stressed and tired with bills and homework and other cares of the world to just drop everything and have fun for a little while. So we bundled up nice and warm and headed over to the Riverwoods to see them turn on all the lights. It was super cold, and we got there around 5 only to find out that they wouldn't turn the lights on until 6:30, so we wandered through the stores and even found a beautiful nativity picture that I fell in love with and Jon bought it for me for super cheap! The artist was even there and signed it for us. How lucky is that?!? Then we stood in the massive crowds and watched the lights turn on and all three of us really enjoyed it! Here are a few pictures and a cute video from our evening:

Ice Sculptures

Kind of hard to see in this one, but it says NOEL.

Waiting for the lights to turn on.
