Crew's Blessing

Sunday, January 11 we blessed our little Crew at church. We were lucky to have everyone from my side of the family and almost everyone from Jon's side of the family come. I wanted to get a picture of all the men who helped bless Crew, but our pediatrician strongly advised that we take Crew home immediately following the blessing and also that we not have a luncheon afterwards because it was the middle of the winter and it is RSV season and the numbers are rising for RSV and the flu right now. So we decided not to take any chances and follow his advice.

This one was taken on his actual blessing day. The other two were from a couple days before when we were trying on the outfit.

 From Jon's side of the family, his dad, and his brothers Kirk and Matt helped bless him, From my side, my dad, my brother Bridger, and my brother-in-laws Travis, Chance, and soon to be brother-in-law Nate helped bless him. Jon did such a good job. It was a beautiful blessing and it was good to see our families there, even though it was brief.

3 Years

For our 3 year Anniversary, we got a babysitter for the first time (my mom) and we went to the movies to see "Into the Woods." We really enjoyed it! We ended up missing the last 5 minutes to rush home because I had been texting my mom the whole time to make sure Crew was okay (give me a break, it was my first time away from him for that long) and he had woken up and was crying and it was right around his feeding time so I panicked and we rushed home only to find that my mom had put him back to sleep. Oh well. We have already seen the play and we know how it ends and it was literally only like 5 minutes max that we missed. We also ordered some Texas Roadhouse to go. YUM! Even though we didn't do much, I'm glad Jon took the day off so we could be together and reflect on the best decision we made 3 years ago.

3 years!

2 Months

Crew is officially out of newborn clothes!! NOOOOO!!!! I'm feeling so depressed about it. And that means that his signature bear outfit is super snug too (We call him Crew Bear)!

Kind of hard to tell in the picture, but they are definitely too snug for his liking. 

But I love that he has really started to smile at us a ton this past month! He is still just so sweet and never complains about anything!

Is it possible for a perfect little human to get even more perfect??

Christmas 2014

For Christmas this year, we decided to stay close to home because Crew's eating habits haven't been the greatest lately and if it came down to it we wanted to be able to get back home fast so we went to my parents house. It was a very fun, relaxing day. In the morning we opened presents, and the rest of the day we played nintendo, the kids played in the snow, we ate lots of food, and we played games!

We attempted to do a little nativity with the grand kids. Crew was Jesus, Laykin was Mary, Kannon was Joseph, Britian was a Wise Man, Jaxon was a Shephard, and Violet was an Angel.

Obviously it was impossible to get a good picture of all of them, but not too bad for a first time!
