Pics from the last couple weeks

Baby, it's cold outside! We need to bundle up now for our morning walks!

Thoughtful Dreams

Happy Fall Evenings out with the neighborhood kids

And the pretty clouds at Sunset

Baby Monitor Pic: I pledge allegiance to the flag...

Beautiful Clouds at Sunrise on our morning walk
Made some Oreo Truffles and since I can't eat them (still on no dairy) I gave them to my brother. Sounds like they were a hit with him and his roommates!
For the past few months I have been spending more and more time with this awesome friend of mine. We met in Junior High School Orchestra Class and we also worked together at a grocery store several years later. We recently reconnected and now we get together at least once a week! It's so nice to have friends in the adult world again! And we have so much in common, we never run out of things to talk about! We have been on 2 double dates now as well (funny coincidence: both of our husbands are named Jonathan). Last weekend we went with them to a pumpkin patch in Provo where they have Zombie paintball shooting. You ride on a wagon and Zombies come running at you and you shoot them down. It was so much fun!!! We can't wait to do more things with them in the future. We already have more double dates planned!

Us in front of the wagon with the paintball guns in the background

I love how Jon is the girl and I am the boy

So much fun!!
Even buckling him in the cart can't keep him still...

I've discovered a new hobby! It's called Quilling. You basically make things out of rolled up paper.  It's so much fun!

Whatever toy he was digging for must have been very important. At one point he even had one foot in the air for balance.

Hee Haw Farm

Last weekend we took Crew up to Hee Haw Farm in Pleasant Grove. It was a big hit with him and with us! We highly recommend it to all families! It's $6 to get in but that includes hay rides, little train rides, animal petting, a giant potato sack slide, and more! We had such a fun afternoon and then Crew picked out his very first pumpkin, which he loves. Every day he crawls over to it and hugs it and pats it excitedly, ha ha! Here are some pictures and videos from our day there:

The animals are super friendly, and the staff just lets you right into the gated area with them!

Next we went down the potato sack slide. It was so much fun! We would have gone down more times but Crew wasn't very patient waiting in line.

Next was the hay ride. Crew decided that hay was pretty much his most favorite thing ever and wanted to keep touching it and picking it up and trying tastes of it here and there.

This cow wasn't in the pen with the other animals but he was still super friendly.

Animal Train Ride

And just some good old fashion fun!

Snuggling the bunnies

And finally, searching for that perfect pumpkin. This was one of Crew's favorite parts. He couldn't stop crawling all over the pumpkins and squealing with joy!

Even when we got to the car he wasn't happy unless he had his pumpkin with him. Who would have thought an almost one year old would be so obsessed with pumpkins?

Happy Harvest, Everyone!

Some Short Videos

This little guy loves to cuddle, Especially with Mommy and his stuffed animals.

We went to Toys R Us one evening and took Crew on a little ride in this car. He LOVED it. He was making excited sounds the whole time. Too bad it was severely overpriced.

Finishing books can be traumatic.

This was back on the day we went to the temple. Crew loved the fountain.

And he's doing really well at climbing stairs! Even better than this video shows.

He won't give kisses on demand for anyone/anything else.

Fall-ing Behind

Get it? FALL-ing behind?? Bahaha. Sleep deprivation, people. It's hilarious.

Well, I procrastinated posting last Sunday and I'm paying for it now! I feel like so much has happened and I can't even remember most of it now but I will do the best I can to share what I can remember. I realize I take a TOOOON of pictures. It's just what I do. It's how I document life. It's what makes me happy. Most of the pictures that I post are just candid shots, but sometimes I try to be extra artistic and the photographer in me hopes that anyone who comes across those pictures will appreciate what I did. So I apologize if it seems a little crazy and out of hand. but I just can't help myself. Plus, if you saw how many pictures I DON'T post, I bet you would be quite proud of me! Also, I figure that those who really couldn't stand it have stopped reading my blog by now, and I'm okay with that. To each their own, right?

The following are from 2 weeks ago (October 4th-11th):

Watching Daddy mow the lawn. He was entranced.

And this is why I can't let him play with those containers anymore.

Peek-a-boo!
With Daddy being so busy, we really have to try and fill our time without him! So we try and get out and do different things together until Daddy is free to play with us.

Playing ball in the yard

Feeding the ducks

LOTS of swinging

Fall colors
Watching the sunset

And making messes in the car!

These next pictures are from October 12th-18th. Which was a terrible week. Monday morning Crew woke up with a stomach bug. He couldn't keep anything down and was just miserable. He was sick through Tuesday. Tuesday night I started feeling pretty sick too. Jon got off work early to come and help me (he was supposed to work until 10 pm but he got home around 8). I was sick and throwing up all that night. On Wednesday Jon started feeling sick. We couldn't catch a break! It was miserable. Finally on Thursday Crew and I were pretty much all better and Jon was feeling much better too. By Friday/Saturday we were all better again. But blah! It was a bad week and we are excited for it to be a new week! But here are some pictures from the happier moments from the week:

Crib chewing

I love how his cheeks get rosy when he is asleep

Getting some fresh air

This was at the end of the week when we were feeling much better. We stopped by the library to get more books for Crew. I didn't know but apparently Jon stole my phone and took this pic.

Crew loves fall leaves

...a little too much
Getting creative

Boom! I'm finally caught up on blogging again. On to a new, sick-free week!!!

No Such Thing As Too Many Sunsets

I believe these were taken that same weekend that we went to see the temple (sometime during the weekend of October 9th). There are so many pictures that I love that I decided I had to share them all. :)
