Stories From Bath Time!

Sometimes I look back on the pictures I have taken during the week and I think, "....that was taken THIS week? I swear that happened at least 3 weeks ago!!" It must be Mommy brain. The weeks are long and so much happens that each memory seems so distant because a million things have happened since then! I'm glad I take so many pictures to help set me straight again and so that I can go back and reflect on the past week. A quick story before I delve into the pictures though:

Warning, the following story involves baby poop and may be too much information for some of you. You have been warned!
Tonight Jon and I decided to give Crew a quick bath before bed. He had just finished eating and he was a mess so we thought it would just be easier than attempting to clean him up ourselves. We undressed him and put him in the tub. Then I realized that he had pooped just a little bit in his diaper so I asked Jon to check if there was any in the tub. Jon did see one or two tiny bits and was in the process of scooping them out when Crew decided that it was the perfect time to have the biggest poop of his life. So there he went, right in the tub. Jon picked him up and he started crying, mostly because he loves to play in the tub and couldn't figure out why he was being taken away from it only a couple of minutes after having gotten in, and partly because he was naked and cold out of the water. I ran for a towel which I had not prepared this early but I didn't want to put it on him until I had wiped him first! So I ran for wipes. Crew was still crying and Jon held him up, away from his own body so as not to get poop on himself too, as I tried to wipe him. Finally, feeling sorry for Crew and not wanting him to catch a cold I gave up the effort and wrapped him in a towel and held him while Jon cleaned out the tub. When he finished he went outside to throw away the diaper and used antibacterial cleaning wipes that he had used away while I filled up the tub again, made sure Crew was cleaned of any extra poop, and put him back in the tub. Jon said he got a little nauseous from cleaning all the poop which I thought was hilarious. Can you tell that I am the one who cleans 99.999% of all the diapers in our house? Anyway, that was our exciting Sunday night story for you! Now onto pictures from the week!

Look at him, leg up, arm slumped over the back of the seat, just chillaxin!
Crew and I dropped Daddy of at class one afternoon, and instead of going home before going back to pick him up, we had a little adventure of our own and visited a very pricey pet store, and Partyland (where Crew tried on lots of costume hats).

He loved putting the hats on by himself and then smiling for the camera!

Nap Time Bed head

Daddy was at class one night and Crew and I sat in the grass and watched the clouds put on a show at sunset...

....while sitting in a pile of leaves.

Oui oui! Little french mustache.

Again, he loves hats (and anything that could go on his head and feel like a hat)

Didn't quite make it to our crib at bedtime

Look at that little cheeser!!!

It was cold enough one morning that we got to try on his winter hat!

Playing with papa and cousins (Britian and Laykin) while listening to conference
And these were taken AFTER the poopy tub incident.

Also, another new trick. I came out one day to find he had made a huge mess with his snacks. Turns out this is why...

And a little video from a typical day outside with Crew's friends
