Fast Forward

Has it really been half a month since I last posted???? I am ashamed. And I had been doing so well, too!!! I guess things just kind of got pretty busy since the wedding and we have been so engrossed in the click of well, life, that I completely spaced the blog for a while there. Sorry! Let me fast forward you all so you are up to date again.

Jon got a new job! YAY!!!! We have been super excited about it. He finally quit Walmart and started training for his new job this past Monday. He will start working this coming week! We are very grateful to Mo, (Jon's roommate and good friend from BYU-Idaho who originally got Jon to ask me out in the first place) for suggesting the job to Jon! It seems like whenever something big needs to happen, Mo always points us in the right direction! Ha ha. Jon is so happy that he doesn't have to work at Walmart anymore, or commute to South Jordan every day. The new job is in American Fork at the Utah State Developmental Center.

It's right across the street from the temple. What a great view to see everyday! He got a job as a developmentalist offering direct care to the individuals living there. When he isn't working, Jon spends as much time as he can studying for the GRE so he can get into Grad school. He is nervous about getting a good score but I know he is super smart and he will do an awesome job.

We also did end up getting a new fish so now Milo has a friend/enemy (since betta fish fight). We keep them in separate bowls but put them right next to each other so they can see one another. They are pretty funny because they constantly forget that the other one is there and then they catch sight of one another and just stop swimming and stare at each other intently. Or sometimes one will catch sight of the other without the other noticing and glare at him for a while. We decided to name our second fish Otis, as suggested by my brother in law. I didn't get a picture of them watching one another at the same time because every time I tried, it scared them out of their little glare war. But I did catch them stalking one another.

Have a great weekend!
