Getting back to normal

For the last 2 weeks I have have been sick with a bad cold/sinus infection that were so bad I had to leave work early one day. That is something that can rarely happen at my job because our department is so small during the fall and winter that we HAVE to get someone to work for us if we can't go to work. Even if you are sick. And lets face it, it's pretty much impossible to get people to work for you. So I felt lucky that day. But then for the rest of the week I spent a lot of time in bed, if I wasn't at work, which got pretty boring, especially while Jon was gone at work (and by the way, if you have three adorably perfect nephews, don't get sick or you won't be able to play with them).

Anyway, when Jon got home he would help stop the boredom by talking with me, watching movies with me, reading my book to me (which must have been incredibly boring for him) and getting tissues and medicine for me.

He even made me chicken noodle soup

And played games with me!

He is pretty much the sweetest husband ever! But since I didn't want him to catch whatever I had, I made sure he drank lots of this.....

And used lots of this.....

My mama was also super sweet and brought dinner over on Sunday night. And she let me borrow her diffuser and oils!

I went through 3 boxes of Tissue, and got lots of medicine from the doctor, and spent lots of time in bed, but I'm starting to feel a ton better. Sorry this post is kind of boring, but that's been my past 2 weeks. Ha ha.

Now that I'm pretty much better, things are starting to get back to normal. Jon spends as much time as he can studying for the GRE which he is planning on taking in May.

Currently he is memorizing lots of words. He has made a ton of flash cards and I test him on them when I am home.

And on a random note, my work got an awesome new time clock. Instead of sliding your card to clock in and clock out, we now get to clock in and clock out with a time clock that reads your fingerprint to identify you! Its so neat every time I come and press my finger on the clock and it beeps, says my name on the screen, and then says "Thank you."

I feel like an FBI Agent. :)

  1. That is such an awesome clock-in mechanism - I think it would have been AWESOME to have one of those at LINX...though how we would have been able to afford it, I will never know.

I feel your pain - my daughter and I have a nasty cold/really gross bug right now, and it just won't go away! I'm so glad you're feeling better.
