Conference Weekend

This week has been very busy! I have been trying to perfect my bread making skills, unfortunately making a big mess and burning myself in the process:

But at least I have had more success in my baking!!!!

Unlike we have been having with fishing....

(Jon caught a stick)

But we still love fishing and go whenever we can!!

This past weekend was great! We got to listen to a living Prophet and apostles speak to us in general conference! I watched the Saturday morning session by myself because Jon had to work but then he joined me for the second session. Later that night he went up to Riverton to attend the priesthood session with his dad and brothers so I spent the evening having a girls night with my mom and two of my sisters! We made adorable holiday decorations, ate delicious KFC, and played with two of my nephews, Kannon and Britian. I wish I had a picture to show you of that night, but I forgot my camera. :(

For the Sunday morning session, Jon and I went to my parents house for our traditional "feast" breakfast that we have during every Sunday morning conference session. It was delicious and I contributed by making half of the cinnamon rolls myself! We all ate out in the Living room so we could watch conference on the tv.

Jon was such a good uncle and helped keep Britian entertained during the session by reading a book to him about Jesus:

I think Britian really enjoyed it!

Afterwards, Jon and I traveled up the road to Riverton where we joined his family for a Lunch/Dinner feast of their own! After the delicious turkey meal, we watched the last session of conference, and played a game of Settlers of Catan with Jon's brother, Scott.

Then Jon and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood, despite the threatening clouds overhead, to search for signs of Spring. This is what we found:

We founds signs of a beautiful spring everywhere, and even caught a glimpse of the Easter Bunny:

Happy Spring, Everyone!

  1. What beautiful flower pictures, Caitlyn! And it's an interesting idea to have a feast on Conference Sunday. Hmmm.
