Last weekend we went up to Logan for our friends Jordan and Destiny's wedding. They asked me to be their wedding photographer and I was so happy to do it! I'm sure I've said this before, but I absolutely LOOOOOVE being a photographer! Plus, Jon and I have desperately been in need of a vacation, and this was the perfect excuse for us to take one! We packed up our bags, rented a car, and were off early Friday morning.
The car ride was nice and relaxing and went by really fast. (This is what the car looked like...)
We got to Logan with plenty of time to spare, so we drove around for a while (we even got a little lost) and then found a pretty little park at the mouth of Logan canyon where we stopped to eat our lunch. Then we drove back to town, checked into our hotel, unpacked and got ready to go to the Temple. Jon and I were able to see the ceremony in the temple and it reminded us of our own sealing 7 months ago. It seems like it has been so much longer, though. Time has really flies when you're having fun!!!
Afterwards we went to dinner and then got lost again trying to find the open house in Tremonton. When we finally found it we got to see and talk to our friends Brooke, Zane, Ashley and Darien. Destiny, Brooke, Ashley and I used to be roommates at BYU-Idaho. It was nice to see our friends, and Zane made us all laugh hysterically with his drawings on the open house "sign in" cards. When the open house ended we went back to the hotel and straight to bed. The next day we took a nice peaceful drive through Logan canyon. Its much more narrow than Provo canyon, which meant that we could see nature more up close.
When we got back to the hotel, we decided to take advantage of the indoor swimming pool that was there, especially since there was no one else in it!
The rest of the day was spent taking pictures of the newlywed couple, driving up to Preston, Idaho for the reception, and then eating pizza in our hotel room while we watched movies on tv.
We left the next morning (Sunday). Too bad we can't have a getaway every weekend!

Mmm....pizza. Yum, yum!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of both of you in the pool... Who took the picture? Just curious.
