Another Great Year

I don't know why, but I tend to post a lot more during the summer months than any others. I guess all the best things happen during the best season of the year! But Fall is the second best season (in our opinions). We get Halloween, Thanksgiving, and my birthday manages to sneak in right between those two every year. This year my birthday fell on a Saturday which was perfect because that meant I didn't have to work! Jon took the day off too which was very sweet of him. We started out the day by sleeping in and avoiding the cold weather. Then my sister Jasmine took me out for a birthday lunch to Sizzler. She told the waitress that it was my birthday, and they gave me this giant root beer float for free! I couldn't even finish half of it!

Afterwards, Jon and I surprised my oldest nephew (whose birthday is 4 days after mine) with an early birthday present. Nothing makes me happier than giving to someone else and making them happy. Every year on my birthday, Jon is kind enough to let me splurge a little on my birthday for someone else.

After that, we went to go see the new Ender's Game movie. We really liked it! But I'm a sucker for any movie with Harrison Ford in it so even if it had been terrible, I would have liked it.

When the movie was finished, we met up with my sister and brother in law and nephew at Cafe Rio for a delicious dinner followed by a quick trip to Cold Stone for some ice cream cake! We took it back to their house and filled whatever tiny spaces were left in our tummies with delicious Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake!

I really have the best husband in the world and he totally spoils me on my birthday. :)
