Goodbye Togo

Yes, after only 2 years we had to get rid of Togo. We loved having him when it was just the two of us, but since Crew has been born we have been neglecting him quite a bit. We still feed him and clean his tank but other than that he was just sitting in the study all day long by himself. Eventually we want to turn that room into Crew's room, too. And once Crew gets more mobile we didn't want him crawling over and wobbling his table so much that he tips the tank over, so we decided it would just be best if we gave him to someone who could take better care of him (Sidenote: all the following pictures were taken the last day we had him).

Within ten minutes of posting on KSL someone wanted him! 2 hours later he was gone. We felt really good about the family he was going to. They were from Draper and they have had turtles before and they have several older kids who were really excited to have a turtle again.

When we first got him as a little hatchling he was smaller than our palms! Now he is huge! We will miss him but we are glad he is going somewhere where he will be happier.

  1. Awww . . so sad to see him go. I knew you were thinking of doing it but didn't know it had actually happened and so fast! I'm sure he will be so happy with so much attention from their kids!
