Jasmine and Nate's Wedding

My sister Jasmine got married to one awesome guy (Nate) in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 6. Instead of having a reception, they just wanted to have a large brunch. I was put in charge of making 2 large banners for decorations. One that read "Wonder of Wonders" and one that read "Miracle of Miracles". Well, long story short, with a 4 month old who doesn't like to be put down (ever), and a husband who works 80 hours a week, it's kind of hard to find time to do anything! Luckily, this amazing man of mine stopped working overtime for a few days to help me get it done. Half of the time he took care of the baby, and, get this, the other half of the time, he helped me craft up the banner! Did I pick a winner or what? I am glad we were able to help out with the wedding though. Plus it gave me an excuse to see my husband more! Win, win!

Jon working on the banner while I held Crew for a nap. Yes, he is using a hot glue gun.

Each letter had it's own banner

Sorry this is sideways, don't know why it uploaded like that
In the end we strung them all together and they looked amazing! I didn't get a picture of the finished product though.

We had a great time celebrating with Jasmine and Nate and we are so excited for Nate to be a part of the family! He's awesome and he fits right in! The luncheon was a huge success and we loved going to the temple. Crew did pretty well for most of the day considering he refused to take a single nap with so much going on. He didn't get fussy until the very end when it was time for pictures! But I must say he did look very handsome all day long!

Cutie! And I made the bow tie all by myself!
And during the luncheon, as part of tradition, all of us siblings preformed a dance! The music cut out right at the climax, but we ended up finishing anyway.

  1. EVERYONE raved about that banner, especially Jasmine!! It was so beautifully made. Jon is truly incredible as well. He is game for anything especially if it makes your life easier. Jasmine is keeping it up to decorate her apartment!! It was so perfect. Little Crew was such a trooper. Weddiings can be such long tiring days but especially for the littlest of the littles :( It's easy to put up with it when he is so darn cute and dressed to the hilt!
