- It is much easier to move into an apartment with no stairs
- Don't try to move lots of stuff on your own while Jon is at work. You will hurt your back and be stuck walking like an old man for the next 2 weeks--at least.
- Get moving boxes next time instead of stuffing everything into your car in multiple trips.
- Moving is a pain. Note to self: avoid moving as much as possible from now on!
We have already unpacked everything and we are just working on the finishing touches and getting used to the new setup. I will post pictures once everything is done! Until then, here are a few things we have noticed in the past few days:
Things We Will Miss:
- Our Ward, and our friends back in Provo :(
- Living so close to my sister and her family in Provo. It's not like we hung out every day or anything, but just the fact that they are so much farther makes me sad.
- Having a grocery store and redbox less than a block away
- Having a front and back yard
- Having a dumpster right outside--it took 2 seconds to throw something big or smelly out in the dumpster
- Living so close to Utah Lake State Park/short drives to a perfect view of the sunset
- Fiber Optics Internet
Things We Will NOT Miss:
- The mildewy, post-flood smell
- The broken toilet
- Having a dumpster right outside (smelly)
- The short in the bedroom light. We can actually see now!!!
- The Landlord
- The tile coming up in the kitchen
- Having to turn on the lights during the day because it is too dark in the basement
- Having to share our Washer and Dryer with the upstairs neighbors
- The upstairs neighbor's loud stomping
Looks like the pros of the new place definitely outweigh the cons. :)
