Going, Going, Gone!

Crew is crawling and moving EVERYWHERE! It's hard to keep track of this little rascal! He is learning that he can get to places on his own now and explore things he never has before and he is taking full advantage of it! Jon and I are constantly running here and there to stop him from picking up something he shouldn't and make sure he is staying safe. Whew!! He is keeping us busy! But I love how curious he is and it's so neat to watch him learn new things every day about the world around him. Here are some highlights from our week:

Another new trick! This week (on Monday) Crew learned how to wave. He's still getting the hang of it, but it's pretty darn cute!

It's in these moments, after he falls asleep, that I finally get to catch my breath and rest for a while and as I watch him sleep, and I realize just how perfect he is and how lucky I am to have him.

We finally got our carpets cleaned! With Crew crawling now, it was time for us to get our filthy carpets washed so we could feel more comfortable about him crawling all over it. This was while we were waiting outside for the carpets to be done. He loves his Daddy time!

We also got him a new carseat since he is getting closer to the weight limit on his infant seat. As usual, he was more interested in the packaging than he was in what was actually inside of it.

The higher I swing him, the bigger his smile!

Okay so this was interesting. I was walking around outside one afternoon with Crew and I noticed that the neighborhood kids had been playing with sidewalk chalk recently so I walked over to look at their work. Among all the usual kid-like drawings I found this! What the????? Now, that's slightly disturbing. I snapped a pic to send to Jon at work and we had a nice little nervous laugh about it together.

No biggie. Just eating paper. Yummy!

Crew waving at a large group of Quails

These two!!! They melt me.

Helping daddy repair a chair.

Sucking on the piano bench at Mamie and Papa's house. Mmmmmm!
Don't let the pictures fool you, Jon is still busy busy busy. I feel like we NEEEEEVER see him and it's driving me insane!! We miss our time with him so much, I hope we can get used to this new schedule soon, or it's gonna be a long semester. Until next week!
