Our Week in Pictures

Brace yourselves, I took a TON of pictures this week! So I'm going to jump right in and not waste any more time. 

Monday was Labor Day. We went over to my parent's house for dinner. They made shish kebobs and they were delicious! Crew tried watermelon for the first time and loved it so much, we took some extras home with us. After dinner Jon joined in with Britian, Kannon, Bridger, and Chance for a soccer game. Later, Crew and I joined in. We had so much fun!

  

Tuesday Crew ate leftover watermelon and made a mess! And later that evening we went to the library. We had lots of extra time since Jon works late on Tuesdays, so we spent some extra time there reading and exploring.

Wednesday, Crew helped me fold the laundry and we went with Jon to his eye doctor appointment. It's been years since he had a new prescription and he needed one badly.

 Thursday we spent some time over at my parents house. Crew loves that piano of theirs, and I introduced him to the toy train which he thought was a delicious snack!

He also discovered my candy stash. Jackpot!

Oh, and he discovered the guitar.

On Friday we went up to Albion Basin (up Little Cottonwood Canyon) for family pictures. I am nervous to see how they turn out! Crew was not smiling very much for the photographer. It was GORGEOUS up there, though! And I wish that we could have stayed longer and explored more, but it was close to Crew's bedtime by the time we finished and he was making sure with all his fussing that we didn't forget about it so we will have to go back another time. I did take a few pictures on our way home, but they don't do it justice.

On Saturday Jon went to work until the evening. At lunchtime, Crew made the biggest Ramen noodle mess any baby has ever made before! Jon's parent's also came down for a visit when Jon got home and it was nice to talk with them, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

I also caught this cute video of Crew and Papa on Saturday night. 

We also hiked up to Battle Creek Falls. This was Crew's first time going. We borrowed a hiking baby carrier from my sister to try out with Crew and he did NOT like it. I think part of it was because he was tired, but he screamed and cried and made such a scene and wouldn't stop so we eventually just took him out and I carried him the whole way. Little stinker. Like I said, he was still tired, so he doesn't look very happy in the pictures. Especially the family selfies. Oh well. It was so pretty up there and there was a beautiful sunset so I took lots of other pictures too. I wish I had brought my nice camera! I'll have to remember it for next time.
